Seminar Series 2024: Dr Diogo Moreira, Instituto Goncalo Moniz (Fiocruz, Brazil)
We were delighted to host Dr Diogo Moreira of Instituto Goncalo Moniz (Fiocruz, Brazil) yesterday (9th April) to deliver a seminar in the Pharmacy Lecture Theatre.

The seminar was entitled “New drugs and pharmaceutical systems for the management of key unmet therapeutic challenges in malaria”.
Dr Moreira is a Researcher of Pharmacology & Medicinal Chemistry at the Instituto Gonçalo Moniz (FIOCRUZ, Brazil) and is also the Head of the Malaria Program of FIOCRUZ. As the Head of the Malaria Program, he has established a long-term collaborative network with scientists in Brazil and abroad (Portugal, Italy, Germany, China and South Africa), has advised 25 students (Bsc, Msc and PhD) and authored 80 articles in infectious diseases.
