Queen¡¯s hosts Green Dot Bystander drop-in event

Queen¡¯s marked International Bystander Day with the launch of its new Green Dot Bystander Initiative by hosting a drop-in event on Friday 13 March for all staff and students.

The event, held in One Elmwood, brought together support providers from across the University, including the Neighbourhood Engagement team, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Team, staff and student Wellbeing Teams, and external partners;  (EAP), , , and 

Green Dot is an active bystander training programme that focuses on sexual abuse, domestic abuse, harassment and hate crime. The training equips students and staff with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to identify, intervene, and report inappropriate attitudes and unwanted behaviours.

During the event, attendees had the opportunity to learn more about the University's Green Dot initiative, access support services, and sign up for , which help participants recognise harmful attitudes and behaviours, and respond safely using the Direct, Distract and Delegate model of intervention.
