QUBensemble (aka QUBe) is a music collective based in ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ at SARC, currently directed by &
QUBe has long been a forum for experimental music involving students, staff, and artists from inside and outside Queen’s University ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ. The ensemble predates SARC and has taken a variety of forms over the past three decades.
Currently, QUBe focuses on bringing together performers from a variety of artistic backgrounds to develop performances that explore ensemble interaction, conduction, audio-visuals, game pieces, open scores and improvisation. QUBe has also become a band that gigs in a variety of contexts, including , , and .
The group is open to anyone from inside and outside of QUB, as well as to artists from disciplines outside of music.
Rehearsals are Tuesday evenings, setup from 5pm, noise making from 5:30-7:30pm, in Stage Box on the first floor of SARC
