Family Friendly & Flexible Working

Academics returning from maternity, adoption, or extended sick leave receive six months of relief from teaching and administrative duties, plus a structured return-to-work roadmap

PDRA Teaching Fellowship

Contract research staff pursuing an academic career can extend their contract by one month to gain teaching experience without impacting their research record. The scheme is open to all PDRAs with a positive statement of inclusion in advertisements.

Flexible working

The School actively supports part-time, job-share, staggered hours, and agile working. Core meeting hours are typically 10am–4pm to accommodate caring responsibilities.
