LGBTQ+
The School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering is committed to providing an inclusive, respectful, and safe environment for all LGBTQ+ staff and students. We recognise that sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression are integral aspects of an individual’s identity, and that inclusion requires more than policy alone—it requires active, visible support.
We do not tolerate discrimination, harassment, or exclusion in any form. Concerns will be taken seriously and addressed promptly and fairly. We are committed to fostering a culture in which individuals can be open about who they are without fear of prejudice, and where diversity is recognised as a strength of our community.
We will continue to promote awareness, challenge inappropriate behaviour, and support initiatives that advance equality and inclusion. Our aim is to ensure that all members of the School feel respected, valued, and able to participate fully and confidently in work and study.
Dr Amber Glanfield is the School's designated LGBTQ+ Ally.
